Standard 35mm slide mount. This slide format is the most common and all of our image and print calculations are made based on this mount.
The film itself is roughly 23mm x 34 mm with the scanned area actually being
24mm x 36mm. This causes a black border around the edge which
typically requires cropping. |

The 110 format was retired by Kodak in 1982. This extremely small slide image,
13mm x 17 mm, can be scanned but we suggest a scanning DPI of at least 3000 due to the small film area being scanned.

This is also a 110 format slide but in a 1" x 1" mount.
We can scan these small mounts but there is an additional $0.30 per slide
handling charge.

The 126 "Instamatic" Format can also be scanned but there will be a very small amount of film area at the top and bottom (.025" at top and bottom) which the Nikon 5000 cannot capture. This slide has a 1"x1" square film opening. If capturing the entire film is essential, you can have them scanned on the medium format film scanner.
